T-Posts |
When ordering your Finecraft wood shutters, it is important to remember that all
Finecraft wood shutters are custom made to each window's characteristics and consumers choice of options. A very important option is the T post. A T post's basic
function is to provide a mounting strip for multiple paneled window openings. Finecraft make available three categories of T posts to provide solutions for every possible window or
hinge configuration desired. Please remember that Finecraft make available pre-drilled counter sunk mounting holes in all T posts, when requested. |
|
MULLION POST - Using a choice of frame or stile profile (F103, F104, F105, F106,
S200) to act as a mounting strip on multiple paneled window openings.
|
|
TRUE T POST - Using any combination of two frames or stile
profiles (F103, F104, F105, F106, S200) to create a shape of a T. This True T is used as a mounting strip on multiple paneled windows, and has a built
in light stop. If these stock dimensions are not ideal, we will create a post to your specifications.
|
|
SPECIALTY POST - When working with Bay or Bow Windows, the angle created
between each may not be suitable for either a standard Mullion Post or a True T Post. This is when you would use a Specialty Post. A Specialty Post is
designed to fit the template taken of the angle between each window where a mounting strip is needed. You may or amy not need perimeter framing depending on whether your
opening is an inside or outside mount. A "two-scale" template of the actual post that will be fitting in the angle must be sent into Fincraft before any production is to begin.
