The following are basic definitions of the important components that go into the construction of all Finecraft Custom Shutters. Louvers:
Oval shaped blades, made from top grade American Yellow Poplar & Solid Oak, that swivel on nylon pins to control natural light, allow for temperature control, and provide natural beauty. Push Rods:
An elongated rod, made from top grade American Yellow Poplar & Solid Oak, which is connected, to the louvers. The Push rod allows for a unison adjustment of louver angle, which is both quick and convenient.
Tension Screws: A specialty, Philips head, screw that allows for easy and convenient adjustment in louver tension, so as to maintain the desired opening. Stiles:
A rectangular wooden rail, made from top grade American Yellow Poplar & Solid Oak, that is constructed, running vertically, on each side of the shutter panel. Stiles are available in a variety of different profiles and dimensions so as to create the perfect panel.
Top & Bottom Rails: A rectangular wooden rail, made from top grade American Yellow Poplar & Solid Oak, that is constructed, running horizontally, on either tip of the panel. While top &
bottom rails are most often the same height, they are available in a variety of different dimensions so as to create the perfect panel.
Frames:
A wooden structure, made from top grade American Yellow Poplar & Solid Oak, into which the shutter panes are fitted. They are available in a variety of different profiles and dimensions so as to create the perfect window. |
